*Trembles nervously* Oh no. Oh no no no. Not one of THESE things.
Hi, I'm your A2 pulley tendon. You know, that little fibrous band in your finger that's been holding on for dear life every time you crimp? Yeah, that's me. And let me tell you, when I saw you eyeing the DANGER BUDDIES Hangboard, I had some... concerns. Okay, I panicked a little.
But here's the thing—and I can't believe I'm saying this—this hangboard might actually be good for BOTH of us. I know, I'm as shocked as you are.
Why I'm (Reluctantly) Okay With This
- Progressive training edges – Multiple hold depths mean you can start easy and build up gradually, giving me time to actually get stronger instead of just... snapping
- Variety of grip types – Different holds work different parts of your hand, so I'm not the only one taking all the abuse (finally, some help from the other tendons!)
- Structured training potential – When used properly with a protocol, this actually strengthens me over time instead of just destroying me
- Durable construction – Built to last, which means consistent training (consistency is key for tendon adaptation, trust me)
- Compact design – Easy to mount at home, so you can train regularly without overdoing it at the gym
- Multiple pocket sizes – Lets you train different finger positions safely
My Plea to You
Look, I WANT to get stronger. I really do. I'm tired of feeling tweaky every time you pull hard on a crimp. But please, PLEASE follow some rules:
- Warm up properly before using this thing (I'm begging you)
- Start with the bigger holds and progress slowly
- Don't max out every session—I need recovery time
- Listen when I send pain signals (that's me screaming for help)
- Follow a structured training program, not just random death hangs
Whether you're building finger strength for your first 5.12, training for hard bouldering projects, or just want to stop feeling tweaky on crimps, the DANGER BUDDIES Hangboard can help us BOTH get stronger—as long as you use it responsibly. I'm ready to adapt and grow stronger, but I need you to be patient with me. Deal?
Sincerely,
Your Finger Tendon
(Who really doesn't want to rupture)
